Nha Trang has many beautiful and interesting destinations for tourists to visit. Nha Trang Observatory is one of them, where you can watch… the universe. It’s very interesting, especially for children who are curious and explore.

Nha Trang Observatory is located in the area of La San hill, built in 2014. It was the first observatory of Vietnam at that time, located in a very beautiful place for visitors to admire the sea view of Hon Chong from above as well as watch the sky, learn about the universe, the stars ... A tower architecture has a white vertical cylinder with a semi-spherical shape dome. In the tower, on the ground floor, there are telescopes for guests and especially children to practice exercises on using glasses, watching the sky… The main observation lenses are on the top floor... This is a 0.5m diameter reflector, manufactured and technology transferred by the Italian company Marcon. Above is an automatic control dome with a diameter of 12m.
Ninh, a guide, said that the best time to observe the sky is from February to September, when the sky is clear and cloudless. It is also the time of the year when the place receives most tourists in the year. In the observatory, there is a cosmic projection house with a system of 6 projectors, 60 seats showing movies and astronomical images with the most realistic 3D effect of the sky and stars. Thereby, it provides viewers with knowledge about astronomy, some astronomical phenomena such as the seasons of the year, changes in the positions of celestial bodies in the sky, familiar phenomena such as solar eclipses, lunar eclipses, etc., help satisfy the curiosity of people, especially children, about the sky and the universe, thereby arousing their passion for discovery.
