Among them are the memorial site for C235 Ship (in Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa Township) and the memorial site for Gac Ma soldiers. With their meanings to the history, such places have attracted a lot of visitors, both domestic and foreign.

C235 ship historical vestige
Coming to Ninh Van, we felt losing in a fairy island with the extensive green of Hon Heo forest, white sand, and blue sea. Ninh Van has memorial site of historical vestige C235 ship associated to the legend of Ho Chi Minh route on sea. 51 years ago, captain Nguyen Phan Vinh and his comrades fighted and died when transporting 14 tons of weapons to the South. Memorizing partiotic martyrs, in 1993, the authority and people in Khanh Hoa Province put up memorial stele for C235 ship. In 2014, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked the memorial site C235 ship as the national historical vestige.
For many years, this memorial site has become a destination visited by a lot of locals and tourists. Some travel firms have put the historical vestige C235 ship into their tour program in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Gac Ma soldiers memorial site
Another historical place in Nha Trang is memorial site for Gac Ma soldiers in Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard. This place memorizes 64 Vietnamese naval soldiers died on March 14, 1988 for the country’s sovereignty on Gac Ma island of Spratly. The memorial site covers an area of 2.5 hectares with statue work, square, museum, etc. This special destination partly raise the awareness of protecting the sea and island sovereignty of the country.

Position of the memorial site is convenient for tours. From 2017 to now, it has welcomed more than 80,000 visitors. Some travel firms have chosen Gac Ma soldiers memorial site as the first destination in their tours to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa. Schools have taken students and teachers here to visit and thurify…
C235 ship memorial site is 60 kilometers apart from Nha Trang to the north. Gac Ma soldiers memorial site is 20 kilometers apart from Nha Trang to south. Tourists can book tours travel firms like Saigontourist in Nha Trang, Vietravel in Nha Trang, etc.
