The players were quite equal in skills, and the matches were exciting, according to Vo Tan Binh - Chief of Office of Khanh Hoa Badminton Federation. Some clubs introduced many young talent. These player also study well at school; therefore, their parents are pleased to allow them to take part in sports activities. The 2022 tournament also saw the return of Cam Lam’s and Cam Ranh’s badminton movement.

Besides Nha Trang City, just few players from other localities participated in the previous provincial badminton club tournaments because most of the strong badminton clubs in Khanh Hoa are in Nha Trang, namely Central Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Hung Dao, Yersin, Happy, Blue Planet, Ly Ly, Thong Tin, Navy, Hoang Hoa Tham, etc. This year, Cam Lam District and Cam Ranh City sent players to the tournament; their players got encouraging results. For example, Tran Quoc Nhien and Van Thi Thanh Cam Lam won gold medal in mixed doubles for players under 30. Additionally, these two players contributed in Cam Lam’s silver medals in women’s single and men’s doubles (under 30). Player Nguyen Phi Hoang of Cam Ranh got bronze medal in under-30 men’s single.
The most outstanding player at this year’s tournament was 16-year-old Nguyen Minh Dat of Yersin Club. Dat is a student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. Dat showed his excellent skills in men’s single for players under 30. In the final match, he overcame Nha Trang player Nguyen Hoang Ky, who was older than him and had much more experience, to grab the gold medal. Dat has practiced badminton for seven years and has placed among 16 excellent young players in men’s single and mixed doubles at a national tournament for teenagers and children.
As said by Binh, the impressive performances of the young talent, who play sports well and study well, like Minh Dat and the players of Cam Ranh and Cam Lam contributed to the success of the 2022 badminton club tournament of Khanh Hoa. This is also a good sign for the province’s badminton movement.
