This is a good opportunity for Khanh Hoa Province’s 7-a-side football teams to get used to big tournaments.
VPL-S3 final round takes place from September 23 to 25 with the participation of eight excellent representatives of five regions of the country. Besides Van Tin FC and Olympic Gym, the other teams include the champions EOC and runners-up Mobi of the northern tournament (HPL-S9), champions Dat Tin FC and runners-up An Bien of the southern tournament (SPL-S9), champions Dak Lak So Xo Kien Thiet of the highland tournament (DPL-S1), and champions Spa Lan Ngoc of Mekong Delta tournament (CPL-S1).

At VPL-S3, the teams will play three matches more than the previous tournament. Eight teams will play in four groups in quarter-finals, semi-finals and final match. The losers in the quarter-final matches will compete with each other to decide their positions from fifth to ninth. Apart from trophy, medal and cash award of VND150 million, the champions of VPL-S3 will have an opportunity to play against the national football team in October.
The four matches of VPL-S3 quarter-finals played on September 23 will be broadcast live on VTV Cab, Onsport, and Vietfootball. The two representatives of the central region, Van Tin FC and Olympic Gym, will meet HPL-S9 champions EOC and SPL-S4 runners-up An Bien at 3:30pm. Prior to VPL-S3 finals, Van Tin FC an Olympic Gym had reinforced their force with quality players and played friendly matches with each other. Olympic Gym travelled to Hanoi on September 22 morning. All the players of Olympic Gym are in good health conditions and are ready for VPL-S3, according to the team’s coach.
Thanh Thanh FC has been the most excellent representative of the central region’s 7-a-side football at the national final round so far. They finished second at VPL-S1 in 2019. In 2020, C-CASA, the champions of KPL-S2, left VPL-S2 early after losing to the representative of southern region, Kariachain Saigon. This year, Van Tin FC and Olympic Gym have shown their careful preparation for VPL-S3. Hopefully, the two representatives of central region in general and Khanh Hoa in particular will show their mettle and display good performances at the tournament to help Khanh Hoa’s 7-a-side football movement develop and approach the level of the movement in the northern and southern regions.
