The representatives attending the event included Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Van Thieu, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaderships of the provincial agencies, departments, sectors, and VnExpress Newspaper.
The marathon kicked off on August 28 morning with the participation of 8,500 domestic and foreign runners. The runners ran 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km on some roads in the city. Also on August 28 morning, KUN Marathon for children from 6 to 10 years old took place with more than 2,000 participants.

On this occasion, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports presented a certificate of merit to VnExpress Newspaper for its efforts to organize the largest-scale marathon ever in Nha Trang, contributing to the development of the public sports movement and stimulation of tourism in Khanh Hoa.
A music show took place after the opening ceremony, featuring singers Anh Tu and Ly Ly, rapper GDucky, etc.
