- What are the main purpose and requirements of the campaign?

- The campaign aims to help raise people's awareness of the effects of practicing sports to health, physical strength, and quality of education on morality, will, and personality; preventing social evils; and training people to serve the cause of national construction and defense. It also aims to encourage people in the province to choose one sport to practice. The province also want to connect this campaign with two other ones namely “All people unite in building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas” and “All people unite to build cultural life”. Self-management and creativity of communities needs to be promoted during implementing the campaign. The administrative units of communes and wards promote their responsibilities in instructing, monitoring and evaluating the results of the implementation of the campaign.

- What are the targets and specific solutions to implement the campaign?

- Through the campaign, the number of people often doing physical exercise and sports is expected to reach 36% of the province’s total population by 2025 and 36.5% by 2030; the number of families practicing physical exercise and sports will reach 36.7% by 2025 and more than 37.2% by 2030. By 2030, 100% of communes, wards and towns in the province will have grass roots cultural and sports institutions meeting the standards defined by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and have at least three grass roots sport clubs.

- The quality and teaching methods of physical education in schools needs to be improved. Schools need to have 99% of students meeting the defined physical standards. 100% of high schools organize regular Phu Dong sports festivals with at least five sports. Phu Dong sports festivals at district, town and city levels need include eight sports; ones at province level include 10 to 12 sports. The target for the number of high schools equipped with sports practicing areas and sports equipment is more than 70%. By 2025, the province strives to have 30% of schools equipped with one simple swimming pool for students in the form of public contribution towards the target of teaching swimming to all children by 2030.

- As for the armed forces, the percentage of units that organize regular sports activities is expected to range from 90 to 99%; 90 to 95% of units, cadres, and soldiers practice sports regularly; 100% of units have basic sports practicing areas, etc.

- In order for the campaign to be implemented effectively and achieve quality and practical results, the main solutions are strengthening the leadership and direction of the Party committees and authorities at all levels and the cooperation among the sectors, agencies, and organizations; building strategies and plans to consolidate the entire management apparatus of sectors and units; building and training teams of sports instructors and freelancers; mobilizing resources from the state budget; attracting public contribution for the development of sports movement; and encouraging the development of sports economy. It also requires building policies on physical exercise and sports; and commending and rewarding typical examples in the implementation of the campaign.
