However, they proved to be an underdog in the finals with only one win and 17 losses, conceding 118 goals. This year, VietFootball lost to HGK-DL and left the tournament without any points after four preliminary matches.
Meanwhile, the hosts HGK-DL have displayed quite good performances at this year’s tournament. The representative team of the highland region has been supported by a real estate business sponsor. Prior to the 2021 HDBank National Futsal Championship, the team successfully renewed the contracts with their key players and recruited Bui Viet Hong, who used to be called up to the national futsal team. They finished the preliminary round with six points and 4th position.
With this result, ten teams who will play the finals of the 2021 HDBank National Futsal Championship (scheduled to take place in Dak Lak Province from April 9 to 30), include the six teams placing from first to sixth at the 2020 national championship (Thai Son Nam, Sahako, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Zetbit Saigon FC, Thai Son Bac, Hieu Hoa Da Nang) and the four qualifying teams from this year’s preliminary round (Tan Hiep Hung, Cao Bang, Quang Nam and Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak).
In this year’s tournament, Khanh Hoa Province has only one representative team, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, the merged team from Sanvinest Sanatech Khanh Hoa and Sanvinest Sanna Khanh Hoa. This is expected to be a tough tournament for the team from Khanh Hoa. They lost many quality players after the merge. They also had to say farewell to coach Dang Dinh Khang, who resigned for health reasons.
