However, Vietnam Volleyball Federation decided to move the first round kick-off date until the end of April due to swift and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thai Quang Lai, head coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa, said his team are still practicing these days. Complementing the directions from the Government and officials, the teams’ management committee informed and disseminated information about the preventive measures against Covid-19 among the team players. All the players are fully aware of the situation and often take preventive actions to protect themselves. The players are also recommended to follow social distancing measures, reducing social interaction and avoiding mass gathering to reduce the transmission of coronavirus.

In a similar way, the coaching board of Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN) has held internal training activities to maintain the players’ form and improve their skills while waiting for the national first league (V-League 2) 2020 to start. Although Vietnam Football Federation and Vietnam Professional Football have not yet decided the kick-off time of V-League 2, Sanna KH-BVN have showed their initiative in continuing practicing to be well-prepared for the tournament while strictly following the instructions and recommendation of the State, Ministry of Health and province.

Sports teams of Khanh Hoa are practicing at the provincial Sports Technique Training Center. All teams have been notified of Covid-19 situation and control and prevention measures, such as wearing mask, washing hands with soap or sanitizer constantly, clean practicing rooms and other facilities frequently, and limiting going out if not absolutely necessary. Covid-19 pandemic have had significant impacts on many social fields, including sports sector of Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa Province in particular. Although the players have had lower income due to postponed tournaments, they have been provided policy benefits as prescribed.
