After many years coming in among the top teams at the national futsal cups, Sanvinest Sanatech Khanh Hoa (SV.STKH) stepped on the highest podium as the championship of the National Futsal Cup – HDBank 2019, which ended lately in Nghe An Province.

This year’s edition of the National Futsal Cup – HDBank 2019 was organized at the Military Zone 4 Sports Arena in Nghe An Province. The 2018 champion Thai Son Nam was shockingly eliminated in the first round of the second stage. Their fellow team, Thai Son Bac, was also knocked out in the first round. These two favorites of the previous tournaments had to battle for the fifth and seventh position on the rankings.

The debutant Da Nang produced excellent performances, overcoming many strong teams to qualify for the final match. Meanwhile, seasoned SV.STKH who gained quite many achievements at the national tournaments, national championships and Southeast Asian futsal club competition was confident in their playing.

The second stage of HDBank 2019 included the top three teams of the first stage (Thai Son Bac, Tan Hiep Hung, Cao Bang) and the four best teams who had qualified from the 2018 National Futsal Championship (Thai Son Nam, SV.STKH, Kadiachain Saigon FC, Da Nang) and the host team SHK Nghe An.

The loss of 2018 champion Thai Son Nam to Da Nang in their first match gave SV.STKH a good opportunity to reach the target of winning title. Prior to the second stage, SV.STKH reinforced their team with the joining of three quality players from their fellow team (Sanvinest Sanna Khanh Hoa). Khanh Hoa’s representative came back from behind to beat Cao Bang 4-2 in the first match; overcame the host SHK Nghe An in the semi-final on the penalties.

SV.STKH faced Da Nang in the final, which was later said as the most exciting clash at this year’s HDBank Cup. SV.STKH had a better start, but after that they had to play catch-up through out the match. The score was tied at 3-3, forcing the match to penalties. SV.STKH’s custodian parried away one spot-kick of Da Nang, SV.STKH won 3-2 on penalties.

SV.STKH won their first national HDBANK Cup after five times taking part in this tournament. This was a reward for their effort and an encouraging achievement for Khanh Hoa’s futsal in general and SV.STKH in particular on the road of professional development.
