Nha Trang to be venue for beach volleyball competition of National Sports Festival 2018

The Eighth National Sports Festival will take place in Hanoi and Hoa Binh Province from mid-November to the beginning of December. Only the beach volleyball competition will be held in Nha Trang on November 16. 

 

This will be the second time Khanh Hoa host the beach volleyball competition. This sport is one of the competitive sports of Khanh Hoa at the domestic tournaments and is the favorite sport of many locals. Nha Trang has relatively preferable conditions for a beach volleyball competition than Hanoi and Hoa Binh Province. 

 

At the beach volleyball competition of the seventh festival organized four years ago in Nha Trang, the athletes of Khanh Hoa won championships in both men’s and women’s events. Khanh Hoa athletes have still been the strong favorites at this year’s edition. Apart from the familiar quality athletes, many young beach volleyball of Khanh Hoa in recent years have played well in their clubs and domestic tournaments. 

 

 

In the two recent seasons, the athletes of Khanh Hoa seemed to dominate the beach volleyball in Vietnam in both men’s and women’s titles. They won many championships and excellent athlete awards. Besides Trong Quoc - Thanh Vinh, the pairs of Van Khanh and Ngoc Vinh,Van Nha and Quang Vu were the outstanding representatives of Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball. Especially, Van Nha and Quang Vu were selected by Vietnam General Department of Sports to take part in the 29th South East Asian Beach Volleyball Championships. Nguyen Thi Mai – Nguyen Thi Thanh Tram and Nguyen Le Tuong Vy – Vu Ngoc Lan Nguyen were also very competitive in women’s event.

 

With these experienced and quality athletes, the beach volleyball fans are hoping Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball in general and Sanna – Sanest Khanh Hoa in particular will gain the best results at the upcoming competition.
