On the morning of July 5, Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori paid a visit to Khanh Thanh Commune, Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province and presented mosquito-nets to the residents here.
In the visit, Riyo Mori dressed very simply with a woolen jacket, jeans, sports shoes and a cap. Her friendliness made children here feel close to her. After presenting mosquito-nets at the district Medical Station, she dropped in some nearby houses to give presents which were small in material value but meaningful in moral value.

Miss Universe 2007 titleholder Riyo Mori along with local MC Nguyen Khac Nguyen will co-host the Final Presentation Show at 8 pm on July 8, 2008. During the show at the Crown Convention Center, a 7,500 seat stage at Diamond Bay Resort, the contestants will be judged on swimsuit and evening gown parades and interviews. The press will have 5 minutes to take photographs of 80 beautiful contestants. Any broadcast of this event must be licensed by the Miss Universe Organization. The 15 finalists of the show will be announced at the Final Show on July 14.
Besides, voting for the title Best in National Costume through a website, which starts operation on July 9 and voting for Miss Friendly by the 80 contestants have been launched. The two results will be announced at the Final Show. Each title will be awarded USD1,000 and a souvenir cup. The Miss Universe Organization also reveals that US talk show host Jerry Springer is co-hosting the Final Show with former Spice Girl Melanie Brown (Mel B). Announced jugdes for the Final Show are billionaire Donald Trump Jr., Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins, world famous fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, hair stylist Louis Licari and actress Nadine Valazquez. The show will be broadcast to 170 countries and territories. At the Crown Convention Center, there will be a LED 125m2 screen and a modern stereo system imported from USA to serve the audience.
° Nha Trang: Art gallery themed “Vietnam Overview”
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa Province and Thanh Binh Advertising and Investing Co., Ltd. co-organized a street art gallery themed “Vietnam Overview” at the seaside park on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang.
The gallery gathers 60 photos (size 3.2x1.5m) about Vietnamese country and people, especially Khanh Hoa Province where 2008 Miss Universe Pageant is being held. The gallery aims to help tourists, visitors and beauties from all continents in the world to have an overview of Vietnam.

° XQ Vietnam gives pictures of art to the beauties as gifts
The XQ Vietnam Company on July 6 presented 81 hand-embroidered pictures, worth a total of VND230million (USD13,600), to the Miss Universe contestants and Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori.
The gifts were designed to promote the original hand-made art made by Vietnamese women, XQ Vietnam representative said.
