71 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province from 7am to 4pm on July 21, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control. The new cases include 53 in Ninh Hoa Town, 10 in Nha Trang City and 8 in Van Ninh District. 1 of these is in the community of Van Thang Ward, Nha Trang City. 18 are home quarantined and in locked-down and quarantine areas. The remaining 52 cases in Ninh Hoa are under further investigation.
The positive cases have been transferred to quarantine areas and makeshift hospitals for treatment together with epidemiological investigation and disinfection.
784 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Khanh Hoa since June 23. Infections have been detected in 6/9 districts and towns, including Ninh Hoa Town with the most cases (554), accounting for 80% of the total infections in Khanh Hoa; followed by Nha Trang City (183), accounting for over 24%; Van Ninh District (27), Cam Lam District (14), Dien Khanh District (3) and Cam Ranh City (3).
3,777 F1 and 9,811 F2 have been traced. 136 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
