Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union at all levels has mobilized local agencies, organizations, Trade Union members and laborers to join efforts to help those in quarantine and locked-down areas as well as urge workers to continue working and adhering to pandemic control regulations.
 
Sharing burdens and difficulties 
 
Khanh Vinh District Trade Union has mobilized its members and workers for nearly 1 week to join the donation of 1 ton of vegetables and 1.5 ton of rice to the free store opened by Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters to help people in locked-down areas. Moreover, the district Trade Union has visited and encouraged officials working at Covid-19 check-points.

In Cam Lam District, the Trade Union at all levels has sought donations from members and received tons of necessities, including vegetables, drinking water, eggs, etc. totaling VND28 million. Besides, the district Trade Union has also given more than VND12 million support to officials at 6 Covid-19 check-points and in locked-down areas in Suoi Tan Commune.
 
Nha Trang City Trade Union has donated VND15 million worth of 1,000kg rice to the free store run by the military force to help residents in locked-down areas. In response to the call of Cam Ranh City Trade Union, 40 affiliations have mobilized members to donate over VND44 million to buy vegetables, instant noodles, milk, detergent and so on to share difficulties with residents in locked-down areas in Ninh Hoa Town.
 
Khanh Hoa General Confederation of Labor has surveyed and provided assistance worth approximately VND650 million for nearly 800 members and workers affected by Covid-19. In the 4th wave of Covid-19 infections, Khanh Hoa Trade Union has offered 43 gifts of aid worth VND1.5 million each for F1 and VND500,000 each for F2. The agency is planning to provide more assistance in the next aid trip. Besides, the provincial Trade Union has offered VND300 million in support of pandemic prevention and control; given 1 ton of rice to the Free Store run by the provincial Military Headquarters. Earlier, the provincial Trade Union had visited and offered VND100 million to Pasteur Nha Trang Institute and VND40 million to some hospitals, according to Bui Thanh Binh, Chairman of Khanh Hoa General Confederation of Labor.

Encouraging workers to continue working while adhering to pandemic control regulations 
 
Vo Quang, Chairman of Long Sinh Company, Ltd. Trade Union (Suoi Dau Industrial Zone) says in conformity with the provincial policy amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Trade Union together with the leader of the company has urged workers to remain at the workplace as well as collect their expectation and ideas about the move. The Trade Union has bought fans, blankets, pillows, mosquito nets and arranged accommodation for workers remaining on-site. The company has increased the funding for meals by more than VND20,000/ person/ shift to improve workers’ nutrition and health. Therefore, employees have agreed to remain at the workplace to continue work in compliance with pandemic control.
 
Trade Union officials have encouraged workers to remain at workplaces. Besides, Trade Unions have also provided support for medical staff with rapid diagnostic testing on more than 10,000 workers. The Trade Union at all levels has promoted their roles and responsibilities to join effort with local authorities and enterprises to combat the coronavirus pandemic, according to Huynh Thi Nam Khanh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Khanh Hoa Industrial and Economic Zones.
