42 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in Khanh Hoa Province from 4pm on July 16 to 7am today (July 17), according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control. The new cases include 34 in Ninh Hoa Town, 6 in Nha Trang City, 1 in Van Ninh District and 1 in Cam Lam. 6 of these are in the community and the rest in locked-down and quarantine areas.
527 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23. Infections have been detected in 6/9 districts and towns, including Ninh Hoa Town with the most cases (359), followed by Nha Trang City (137), Van Ninh District (13), Cam Lam District (12), Dien Khanh District (3) and Cam Ranh City (3).
97,569 F1 and 9,217 F2 have been traced. 97,569 samples have been taken for RT-PCR testing and 60,278 others for antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic testing in Khanh Hoa Province. 105 areas related to the positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
