Khanh Hoa Red Cross in association with Nha Trang City held a ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2021 themed “For a safe community” on May 3. Present at the event was Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, Chairperson of Vietnam Red Cross and Ha Quoc Tri, Vice-Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.
 
100 disadvantaged families in Phuoc Long Ward and Vinh Truong Ward, Nha Trang City, were offered gifts worth VND650,000 each, including VND500,000 each and necessities.
 
In addition, a humanity market jointly held by Khanh Hoa Red Cross and Dien Khanh District opened in Suoi Tien Commune, Dien Khanh District on the same day, offering vouchers worth VND500,000 each to buy food, clothes and other necessities. This is one of activities in response to the Humanity Month 2021.

All people at the launching ceremony and the humanity market wore face masks and used hand sanitizer, following Covid-19 prevention and control guidance. The humanity month takes place on May 1-31, 2021.
