Khanh Hoa provincial Fatherland Front Committee has received more than VND24 billion from local departments, agencies and businesses after 2 weeks launching the donation to the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines.
 
Good response from businesses
 
Following the Prime Minister’s call for “No one left behind in the fight against Covid-19”,  Vinpearl Joint Stock Company has donated VND10 billion to the province to buy Covid-19 vaccines. Besides, in 2020, Vingroup took the lead in taking part in pandemic control and prevention work, including manufacturing breathing devices, providing packages of medical equipment, machinery and chemicals for SARS-CoV-2 testing; funding 3 research projects against the Covid-19 epidemic; donating more than VND1,277 billion in support of frontline doctors. Apart from support from its social welfare fund, VCN Joint Stock Company staff has also donated VND5 billion to the province to buy Covid-19 vaccines.

Nguyen Khanh Toan, CEO of VCN Joint Stock Company said, “We hope more and more organizations, businesses and individuals will join hands in support of the Covid-19 vaccination. Besides donation to Covid-19 vaccines, in 2020, the company offered 4,000 test kits worth VND2.1 billion in total to the Department of Health to help the testing for Covid-19 in the province."
 
As Covid-19 vaccination is an critically important tool to help stop the pandemic.  KN Cam Ranh Co., Ltd and Le Nu Thuy Duong, Deputy Chairperson of the company have donated VND2 billion to buy vaccines. Besides support for the pandemic prevention and control, since 2019, the company has also provided support and taken part in many charitable and social cultural activities in the province such as Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, events marking the National Tourism Year, house construction for the poor; study promotion fund for children of cadres and soldiers working on the Spratly Islands; and water filer system installment on the Spratly Islands, etc. with a total VND26.88 billion.
 
In the coming time, the company will continue accompanying the province in social security work and cultural activities; especially in the  Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, including supporting locally manufactured vaccines, and urging staff to volunteer for COVID-19 clinical trials, according to Le Nu Thuy Duong.
 
More donation and support welcomed
 
Local organizations, businesses and individuals have donated more than VND24 billion in total to the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines in Khanh Hoa Province so far. Phuc Son Joint Stock Group Company donated VND3 billion, Khanh Viet Corporation VND1 billion, Khanh Vinh Group VND500 million, Vega City Nha Trang VND500 million, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company (VND200 million), Phu Khanh Petrol Company in Khanh Hoa Province (VND200 million), Khanh Hoa Lottery Ticket Company (VND100 million) and 584 Nha Trang Fishery Joint Stock Company (VND20 million), Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association VND15 million, etc. The list of contributors to the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines got longer as time went by. All are willing to contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
At the Covid-19 vaccine purchase support launching program, Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee noted there will be approximately 2 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines for residents in Khanh Hoa to get free vaccinated (2 shots/ person). The total funding for the vaccination is expected to be VND140 billion, including VND100 billion from the local budget and other legal financial resources to buy vaccines. 
 
More support and contribution to Covid-19 vaccination in Khanh Hoa is welcome to help with the free Covid-19 vaccination.
