Ensuring security and safety during the national holiday

Local tourists in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa are expected to increase drastically d uring the national holiday April 30 and May 1. Therefore, Khanh Hoa Border Defense Headquarters has soon implemented plans on Covid-19 prevention and control, national sovereignty protection and border security maintenance to all professional offices, stations and flotilla.

 

Ready for quick response 

 

According to Colonel Tran Quoc Toan, Commander of the Provincial Border Defense Headquarters, in recent days, in addition to round-the-clock surveillance, the Provincial Border Defense Headquarters has requested for the focus on promoting propaganda to strictly abide by the line and policies of the Party and policies and laws of the State; assessing the current situation, strictly controlling the entry and exit through seaports in the fight against crime, fire, explosion and Covid-19 pandemic. The units have regularly updated plans to adapt to the current situations of units and localities and forces in major places to detect and deal with any incidents.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accordingly, the Provincial Border Defense Headquarters has ensured 50% of the forces on standby to prepare for and respond to any emergency. Border stations have mobilized 70% of their crew on round-the-clock watch, ensured sufficient equipment and cooperated with police and military forces to boost security maintenance at amusement and entertainment spots and at events with big crowds.  

 

Squadron 2 and 2 companies of the Training Battalion have maintained 2 quick response teams to respond to any emergency incidents. In addition, the Provincial Border Defense Headquarters has maintained a mobile platoon, ready to coordinate with local armed forces and authorities to keep security and order and handle any cases of crime.

 

Close inspection

 

Border defense forces have boosted inspection of travelers, means of transport and goods through coastal areas and islands to promptly and effectively detect, prevent and cope with crime of all kinds, prevent illegal immigration, monitor the number of overseas Vietnamese returning home and tourists in localities and tourist destinations; regularly check compliance with inland waterway traffic safety regulations; and prevent fishing boats or other vehicles that are incapable of passenger transportation service from taking tourists to islands.

 

Along with the determination to maintain the national sovereignty and security of the border, Covid-19 prevention and control task during the holiday is considered as an important mission taken by the provincial border force. The provincial border force has strengthened inspection in border areas, monitoring the number of foreigners travelling for business or pleasure purposes in border areas; and ensuring that all immigrants complete medical declaration. The Provincial Border Defense Headquarters has also drastically directed border stations to closely coordinate with the Party Committees, local authorities, functional forces and tourism businesses to promote propaganda to improve epidemic prevention and control in the community.
