Over 200 people join beach clean-up on Green Environment Day

Australis Aquaculture Vietnam Company, Ltd. in cooperation with the Youth Union of Ninh Hai Ward, Ninh Hai Border Station, Tran Quy Cap High School and Trinh Phong Junior High School launched Green Environment Day on the beach in Ninh Hai Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa on January 15.
 
According, the event drew 200 volunteers, cadres and soldiers of the Youth Union of Ninh Hai Border Station to join the clean-up effort, removing 2 tons of trash from Ninh Hai Beach after 2 hours.

The Green Environment Day was first held on August 3, 2018 to raise environmental awareness among employees and local community. Since then, the company has collected 40 tons of trash along 12 km of the beach with the participation of more than 2,000 volunteers. The Green Environment Day aims to inspire everyone to take action to protect marine environment, contributing to reducing plastic pollution and preserving the local eco-system, according to Joshua Nathan Goldman, CEO of Australis Aquaculture Vietnam Company, Ltd.
 
The Green Environment Day helps tighten solidarity among participating units as well as educate students and younger generations to join hands to save the marine environment, according to Khuu Thi Thanh Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of Ninh Hai Ward Party Committee.
