5th Khanh Hoa Patriotic Emulation Congress opens

The 5th Khanh Hoa Patriotic Emulation Congress (2020 - 2025) was opened on December 15 with the attendance of around 500 representatives, including former provincial leaders, Heroic Vietnamese mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, departments, agencies and localities and nearly 200 exemplary individuals in the Patriotic Emulation Campaign over the past 5 years.

 

Central delegates were Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice State President, First Vice-President of the Central Council for Emulation & Commendation together with leaders of the Party and the State; leaders of 6 central coastal provinces and the Highlands. Representatives from Khanh Hoa Province were Nguyen Khac Dinh, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary; Nguyen Khac Toan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Vice-Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chairman of Provincial Council for Emulation & Commendation; Ha Quoc Tri, Vice- Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Dac Tai, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, First Vice-President of  the Provincial Council for Emulation & Commendation; Le Xuan Than, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Le Huu Hoang, Vice-Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and Tran Ngoc Thanh, Head of Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The province's emulation and commendation work has encouraged all levels, branches and all people to overcome difficulties and challenges and achieve satisfactory results over the past 5 years. The total budget revenue is VND91,541 billion in the 2016-2020 period. Khanh Hoa is among the top 5 seafood exporting provinces in the country with its export market having expanded to 135 countries, up by 30 countries compared to 2015. The province's economic growth scale ranks 24th out of 63 provinces and cities and 3rd out of 8 provinces and cities in the southern central coastal region. 

 

Addressing the congress, Vice-President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh praised the patriotic emulation campaign and achievements that the province has achieved. The Vice President suggested the province should continue thoroughly and effectively implementing the Party and State’s policies on emulation and commendation; striving to fulfill socio-economic development goals; improving commendation work, focusing on rewarding small groups, direct employees, armed forces and soldiers; promoting good examples, etc.

 

On this occasion, the Vice-President presented a portrait of Uncle Ho to the Provincial Party Committee, government and people; and donated VND200 million to Vietnam Children’s’ Fund to help children in severe need.

 

At the congress, Nguyen Tan Tuan launched the Patriotic Emulation Campaign, period 2020-2025 with 7 main contents, focusing on emulation to fulfill targets and responsibilities defined in the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the socio-economic development plan; promote innovations, technical initiatives and application of advanced science and technology in economic sectors; implement national defense and security tasks; and improve emulation and commendation quality.

 

The Congress announced the State President’s decision to award the third-class Order of Independence to the Provincial Political School; awarded the first-class Order of Labor to Nha Trang College of Technology; second-class Order of Labor to 3 individuals and third-class Order of Labor to 3 individuals. 13 all-round excellent collectives in 2019 were awarded the Government's emulation flags and 14 excellent groups leading the emulation campaign 2019 received emulation flags by the Provincial People's Committee.
