Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa People's Committee signed a document on May 3 to allow sea swimming from May 4. Accordingly, sea swimming and related activities on beaches and on sea surface in Khanh Hoa are permitted as normal but with continued adherence to social distancing guidelines in face of COVID-19.
Khanh Hoa People's Committee has assigned the People’s Committees of districts and towns where there are beaches to assure lifeguards and other forces available to check the social distancing practice, including keeping safe physical distance, wearing face masks and avoiding gatherings of more than 30 on public beaches and in beach parks in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Instructions No. 19/CT-TTg dated April 24, 2020.
Earlier, beaches in the province had been closed with sea swimming and cultural and entertaining activities suspended from April 1 to prevent to spread of COVID-19.
