Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Company took more than 18,500 Russian passengers to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa in January 2020, a year-on-year rise of 27.3%. The company plans to bring over 16,600 Russian passengers to Cam Ranh in February. 75% of the arrivals are expected to stay in Khanh Hoa and the rest in Binh Thuan, said Hoang Thi Phong Thu, Chairperson of Pegas Misr Travel Vietnam Members' Council on February 19.
The number of Russian tourists registered to Khanh Hoa in March 2020 has reached nearly 9,000. The Russian tourist market remains stable, but more promotion programs are still needed to attract more high-spending and long-stay Russian tourists.
