Matmo Storm has weakened into a tropical depression early this morning (October 31).
Tropical Matmo Storm has stricken strong wind gusting up to level 9 An Nhon (Binh Dinh), level 8 in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), level 9 in Hoai Nhon (Binh Dinh), level 9 in Ly Son (Quang Ngai), level 7 in Quang Ngai and level 7-8 in An Khe (Gia Lai).
The tropical depression was at 13.6 °N and 108.2 °W in Gia Lai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen with gust at level 6 (40-50 kph) at 4am on October 31. The depression caused downpour with a rainfall of 150-300mm from Quang Ngai to Phu Yen within the last 24 hours.
In the next 12 hours, the tropical depression will keep moving west deeper inland at 15kph and then weaken into a tropical depression area at 13.8 °N and 106.0°W in Cambodia. The natural disaster risk is at level 3.
