In recent years, Tran Phu Street, the section from the T-junction with Le Thanh Ton to the T-junction with Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, has been decorated with illuminative welcome gates to make the beach street more glistening at night.

The community-funded decoration with illuminated welcome gates on Tran Phu Street has been done for 3 years. Nguyen Khac Ha, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture & Sports says every year, the decoration design of welcome gates on Tran Phu Street is required to be changed every year with various options to be submitted to the Department of Culture & Sports for assessment based on ideas collected from relevant agencies and then to Khanh Hoa People’s Committee for approval.

To welcome the “Visit Vietnam” Year 2019 and Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved the new lighting decoration on Tran Phu Street. Accordingly, there will be 15 welcome gates. 2 main welcome gates will be installed adjacent to Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to the north and Le Thanh Ton Street to the south, saying “Visit Vietnam Year 2019” and small welcome gates will be put up, saying “Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019”. The decoration will be created by Nha Trang Investment & Advertising Company.

Tran Kim Thanh, Vice-Director of Nha Trang Investment & Advertising Company says for the past 3 years, the company has been assigned to install decorative welcome gates on Tran Phu Street. The decoration work is required to assure the requirement for safety, modernity and beauty, featuring typical characteristics of the beach destination Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.

The decoration images used to be waves, swifts and coconut trees. This year’s design features the colors of the sea and natural beauty. The decoration of the 2 main welcome gates has simple patterns that brings harmonic and friendly feel. The small gates have innovative patterns in nature with grass and flowers, along with basic color harmonies.

Welcome gates will be illuminated with colorful LED lights and simple and delicate patterns and details, assuring safety and contributing to the splendor of the festive season. The production of welcome gates is being hastened and the decoration work is expected to finish before April 30.
