Diversified propaganda activities
2018 was the first year of the implementation of the Resolution of Khanh Hoa Youth Union Congress and the 11th National Youth Union Congress themed “youth’s creativity”. Khanh Hoa Youth Union at all levels has boosted and diversified the Youth Union task and teen activities, particularly propaganda and education; effectively made good use of social networks and advanced technologies to draw the engagement of Youth Union members and young people; enhanced the public orientation; and participated in the fight against the "Peaceful Evolution" theory in the fields of ideology and culture. The activities have been highly appreciated by the Provincial Standing Party Committee.

Nguyen Ngoc Thao, Head of Khanh Hoa Youth Union’s Commission of Propaganda & Training says in recent years, Khanh Hoa Youth Union at all levels has effectively enhanced propaganda via social networks, including the facebooks of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Khanh Hoa Comrade Association and social channels of the Youth Union of the districts and towns of Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Van Ninh, etc. Information about activities, competitions and good deeds have been posted on the fanpages of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers’ Organization, helping updating policies and knowledge about youth campaigns. Besides, the Youth Union at all levels has also made good use of visual aids via infographics, helping visualize documents and make it easy for young people to grasp. The activities have been highly appreciated by leaders.
Meeting social needs
In 2018, the Youth Union of all levels throughout the province has organized various practical youth activities such as donating 50 cabinets and clothes to people in disadvantaged areas; building 1 amusement park for children and 2 houses for young people suffering from damages caused by natural disasters; implementing 4 sample route models, lighted, green, clean, beautiful, civilized and safe, worth over VND200 million; planting 5,000 plants, 3,000 acacia trees, 300 casuarina trees; launching 200 traffic safety campaigns to improve road safety around schools. Besides, the Youth Union of all levels has carried out social security activities worth more than VND2.6 billion to help the disadvantaged.
Youth Union activities have met social needs. In addition to volunteer activities, social security activities have been held such as building houses for policy beneficiaries, giving aids to assist people in difficult circumstances, etc. The Youth Union affiliations have focused on protecting the environment and creating urban landscape such as cleaning and decorative painting old street walls done by Nha Trang Youth Union in response to the National Tourism Year.
Besides, a photo contest "Why not go and clean up?" has been held on social networks with photos of areas before and after cleanup taken, submitted to the contest and shared on social networks to create community effects. “Thanks to updating news and information about the trends of young people and social needs, the implementation of Youth Union activities over the past time has proved effective and got the thumps up from many young people, says Nguyen Chi Anh, the Secretary of Nha Trang City Youth Union.
Voluntary Youth Union activities and movements have recently made a positive difference. Union organizations have held a wide variety of activities meeting the needs of young people and the society, thus making suitable action plans. For example, the rural road lighting projects have been very effective for many years. Following the success, the Youth Union has implemented a new model powered by solar energy which is environmentally friendly and power-efficient. Moreover, youth works are required by the Provincial Youth Union to be creative and scientific to better show the youth’s social contribution and commitment, according to Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union.
