Illuminated festive decorations are being made in Nha Trang City to welcome Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2017 scheduled to take place on June 10-13.
Nha Trang City People’s Committee has assigned Public Service Management Board to put up lighting decoration in some main streets, including Le Thanh Ton, Thai Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Yersin. The decoration work is expected to finish before June 30. Besides, Nha Trang City People’s Committee has also assigned Nha Trang Urban Environment Company to put up lighting decoration in some locations such as Tran Phu Bridge, Binh Tan Bridge and the 7-way crossroads park.
Glamorous small landscape with colorful flowers and plants will be created at 44 Tran Phu Street together with flower arches and decorated boat models considered as decorative highlights in 2-4 Square, a great place for tourists and locals to pose for photographs during the festival.

Sidewalk landscape with a decorative banner welcome to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2017 at Tram Huong Tower and another small landscape from 32-34 Tran Phu to Yasaka Saigon Nhatrang Hotel are expected to add to the highlight of the festive event. In addition, 12 groups of sidewalk small landscape with towers and pots of flowers, and decoration banners on Tran Phu Street will brighten up the golden street. The work is expected to begin on June 1 and last for 1 week.
Nha Trang City has made urban renovation in transport and environment to serve APEC, commemorate the 40th anniversary of Nha Trang upgraded into a city from a town and Sea Festival 2017. Nha Trang City People’s Committee has directed the Urban Management Office to paint traffic lines; frequently repair and install traffic signs to assure traffic safety.
The crusade on traffic safety and urban cleanliness has been carried out to improve traffic safety and clear sidewalks for pedestrian use. The pavement encroachment has significantly decreased. Besides, the Urban Management Office has asked project investors to pause their construction and tidy up construction sites to assure safety and cleanliness during the festival. The city will also cooperate with the public security department to ensure safe and smooth flows of vehicles and pedestrians during the festive days.
Within the framework of the Sea Festival 2017, Nha Trang City plans to organize several cultural, sporting, culinary and entertaining activities such as street unicorn dance; sea swimming and basket boat racing; a sea rescue competition, an environmental day, bike parade, fishing, sea life released for marine resource regeneration, traditional food, couple dance performance, hip hop clubs’ festival, flash mob, etc, says Nguyen Sy Khanh, Vice-Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee.
