Khanh Hoa Department of Natural Resources & Environment has just sent a document on the celebration of activities in response to the National Sea and Island Week scheduled to take place on June 1-8 to local departments, agencies, organizations and Peoples’ Committees of communes, wards and towns in Khanh Hoa.
Accordingly, the theme “For a green planet” was chosen for the National Sea and Island Week 2016 by the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment; and “Healthy oceans, healthy planet” for the World Oceans Day 2015 – 2016 by the World Ocean Network.
The Department of Natural Resources & Environment requested for propaganda activities to mark the Sea and Island Week, World Environment Day(June 5) and the World Ocean Day (June 8); workshops, conferences on the natural resource exploitation and management; sustainable marine environmental protection, public awareness boost via mass communications, etc.
