Khanh Hoa Provincial Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held a ceremony to celebrate Buddha’s 2565th birthday (Vesak day) and the 40th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha at Long Son Pagoda on May 26 (lunar April 15). Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaderships of the provincial departments and agencies; monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was organized solemnly but on a reduced scale due to COVID-19 outbreak.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee offered certificates of merit to five collectives and five individuals of Khanh Hoa Provincial Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, who have made many contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.
