Khanh Hoa Province organized a solemn ceremony on April 21 (lunar March 10) to commemorate Hung Kings' death anniversary at Hung King Temple (Nha Trang City).
Present at the ceremony were Nguyen Khac Toan - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Chief of the Provincial Standing Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaderships of the provincial departments, sectors, localities, and armed forces.
On behalf of the province’s leadership, at the ceremony, Dinh Van Thieu delivered a speech commemorating and expressing the gratitude for the merits of 18 Hung Kings; recalled the history of building and defending the country as well as the responsibilities and obligations of the present generations towards the country.
Also at the ceremony, the attendees offered incense to Hung Kings and prayed for good things. Hung Kings' death anniversary is an illustration of the nation’s tradition “when drinking water, remember its sources”.
