Difficulty swallowing, dizziness, fatigue, inability to concentrate, irritability: these are just a few side effects of worrying.    When stress builds up, it’s time to take a break and actively try to let go of that anxiety. Here are some helpful tips on how you can leave your worries behind.

I don’t mean to scare you, but worrying can hurt you physically. If you worry, you could cause damage to your heart and brain. Worrying can cause you to feel drained, and your energy levels aren’t as high as they should be.

If you’re looking for ways to cope with your worrying, try physical activity such as yoga. You can also participate in meditation and meditative practices. This is calming and those with anxiety can benefit from this if practiced on a regular basis.

You can also try mental methods for coping with worry. Grab a pen and paper, and brainstorm solutions to your worries. This can ease the tension of your worry. You can also set aside personal time for yourself to reflect on your worries and what solutions you can make.

Whatever you worry about, just know that there is a solution. It might take 5 minutes or 5 years, but the solution will come to you. Take time to brainstorm, take a breath, and know that everything will be alright.
