OCOP Product Evaluation Council of Van Ninh district has just organized an evaluation of products participating in the district OCOP program in 2022. Accordingly, the whole district has 18 products (with 13 subjects) included in the list of participating the OCOP program this time. Through the process of selecting ideas, evaluating production and business plans as well as surveying facilities, there are 11 products (9 subjects) eligible for evaluation. Products are evaluated and ranked according to the following criteria: product evaluation and community strength, marketing capabilities and product quality.
 
The district OCOP product evaluation council evaluated 10 products with 50 points or more, 4 products of which reached the 4-star threshold and 6 products reached the 3-star threshold at the district level. The products participating in the OCOP program this time have high local characteristics and strengths such as fish cakes, incense sticks, coconuts...

Nguyen Ngoc Y - Head of the Economic Division of the district said that the synchronous and effective implementation of the district in training, propaganda, and contracts with the consulting unit to support the subjects ... has helped the establishments have conditions to improve product designs, certify food hygiene and safety, develop business plans. The products are evaluated more complete than those in the period of 2019 - 2021. In particular, the district council carefully considers the issue of certification of standards according to regulations. For the criteria that have not been met, the district continues to support and guide the subject to make the product more perfect, striving to have from 5 to 6 OCOP products recognized by the province with 3 stars. At that time, it will raise the value, promote the product's strengths, and create a premise for the implementation of the program in the following years.
 
Under the OCOP program in the period of 2019-2021, the district has 4 products recognized by the province with 3 stars, including fried fish and steamed fish cakes (Pham Thi Thuan fish cake production facility in Van Phu commune); fried fish cake (business household Nguyen Trang Thuy Diem in Van Thang commune); fine art agarwood (Tram Huong Van Thang Cooperative). In the period of 2022-2025, the whole district has 22 products participating in the OCOP program.
