Supporting farmers to sell agricultural products

Over the past time, farmers' associations at all levels have implemented many practical solutions to help members and farmers by offering many channels to support the selling of agricultural products.

Points to support sales opened

On the morning of August 21, at 6 To Vinh Dien Street, Nha Trang, the staff of the provincial Center for Farmer Support and Vocational Education were arranging agricultural products on the stalls, mainly potatoes, garlic, onions, peppers… and fruits such as green-skinned grapefruits, durians, mangoes... At another street, Khanh Hoa's agricultural product selling point is at 1 Da Tuong Street was also arranged well.

According to Le Quoc Toan, Director of the Provincial Center for Farmer Support and Vocational Education, under the program "Connecting agricultural products - Sharing love - Overcoming the pandemic", the selling prices of agricultural products at the center are lower than the market; for example, Monthong Khanh Son durian: 65,000 VND/kg, Khanh Vinh green-skin grapefruit: 35,000 VND/kg, VietGAP Cam Thanh Nam green jujube:  17,000 VND/kg, Hoa Loc mango: 45,000 VND/kg, watermelon: 15,000 VND/kg, orange: 35,000 VND/kg; custard-apple 30,000 VND/kg…

Impulsing connection for sales

Ha Hong Hanh - Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee said that, in addition to the sales points, the association also actively implemented many solutions such as strengthening communication on the association's information channels, coordinating with the Provincial Youth Union and Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association to connect with large enterprises in purchasing and exporting, cooperating with Viettel Post to sell Khanh Hoa agricultural products on the e-commerce platform Voso.vn … As a result, since the beginning of the year, these channels have supported to sell about 140 tons of agricultural products on the Internet. In the coming time, activities to support the selling of agricultural products will be deployed more strongly and widely. The provincial Center for Farmer Support and Vocational Education will promote online sales, sales through fanpage; set up stalls of agricultural products at traditional markets when they are reopened; establish selling points in the blockade areas in all localities in the province in order to better bridge the gap between production and consumption of agricultural products.

However, the biggest difficulty now is the transportation of agricultural products. In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the collection of agricultural products from farmer members, cooperatives and cooperative groups from localities to the center, and from the delivery center are still difficult.
