Khanh Hoa e-commerce exchange: Opening door for businesses

Initial results
 
As one of the first units participating in the province’s e-commerce exchange, Suong Nhung private enterprise (located in Nha Trang city) currently has 3 products introduced on the e-commerce exchange. This business specializes in wine with brand name Anh Duy. Le Cong Suong - owner of the business shared that after being introduced and instructed by the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the enterprise has sent document for registration. The enterprise's products all reach the typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2019, ensuring food quality, hygiene and safety. There has not been any transaction arising on the e-commerce exchange up to now, but some customers in Hanoi who saw the information on the floor called to find out about the enterprise's products. He believes that the e-commerce floor will accompany and help his business promote their products more widely.
 
After nearly 1 year, up to now, more than 330 products have registered to join in the provincial e-commerce exchange. The e-commerce exchange has attracted many types of businesses, from state-owned enterprises (like Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company and Khatoco Ostrich - Crocodile Trading Company under Khanh Viet Corporation, etc.), to small and medium-sized enterprises, agricultural cooperatives (like Van Hung garlic cooperative, Vinh Ngoc mushroom cooperative, Ninh Dong safe vegetable cooperative, Ninh Quang agricultural cooperative, etc.) and business households. The category of products comprises groups such as agricultural markets; technology market; oats and products from oats; confectionery and soft drinks, coffee, cocoa, cashew nuts; fish sauce… for consumers to choose easily. In addition, policies on operating regulations, information confidentiality and complaint settlement are also updated so that sellers and buyers can grasp their rights and obligations when participating in the e-commerce exchange. To boost propaganda
 
From the beginning of the year until now, the Department of Industry and Trade has focused on propaganda, guidance and promotion about the e-commerce exchange. The Department has sent a notice to businesses in the province about the registration to participate in the Khanh Hoa e-commerce exchange; at the same time coordinated with the Vietnam e-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (the Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize conferences to deploy, instruct the use of e-commerce floors for businesses. In addition, the Department also submitted a written request to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review the typical local agricultural products that meet standards (VietGAP and GlobalGAP), products that meet the specified food safety conditions… to provide information for the Department of Industry and Trade to introduce and advertise on the e-commerce exchange.
 
In the e-commerce development plan for the period 2021 - 2025 issued by the provincial People's Committee, one of the basic goals is that 20% of small and medium-sized enterprises conduct trading on the provincial e-commerce exchange and other e-commerce exchanges. Therefore, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will further propaganda, introduction and guidance to businesses, so that the e-commerce exchange will always accompany them.

Therefore, the number of enterprises registered to participate is small, the products are not many and not diversified.
