Meeting with over 200 businesses in southern central region

Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Khanh Hoa on June 25 organized a conference with the business members and business association in southern central region. Le Huu Hoang, vice-chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Ha Quang Phong, vice-chairman of VCCI; and more than 200 businesses in the region attended the conference.

Le Huu Hoang, vice-chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Ha Quang Phong, vice-chairman of VCCI; and more than 200 businesses in the region attended the conference.
 
In 2019, VCCI Khanh Hoa organized 46 activities to support businesses (up 9.6% compared to 2018), such as training courses, seminars, and business surveys with more than 4,000 participants, promptly solving difficulties of enterprises in areas such as tax, customs, social insurance, labor, land, and tourism.

Addressing the conference, Le Huu Hoang gave general information about the socio-economic situation of Khanh Hoa Province in the first 6 months of 2020, especially the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on businesses’ activities. In the coming time, the province will focus on boosting investment attraction in the areas which are strengths of the province (shipbuilding, ports, supporting industries, assembly, power generation, electronics and high-technology agriculture); calling for investment in infrastructures of the industrial clusters Tan Lap-Cam Lam and Ninh Xuan-Ninh Hoa; attracting secondary investors to industrial clusters with completed infrastructure. He hoped that the entrepreneurs and businesses would promote creativity to help businesses to overcome difficulties and contribute to the economic revival.
 
On this occasion, the chairman of VCCI offered certificates of merit to 22 businesses with excellent achievements in production and business activities in 2019. VCCI Khanh Hoa and the representative of PUM (the Netherlands) signed to establish a start-up nursery garden in southern central area. VCCI Khanh Hoa and the provincial Department of Science and Technology signed a cooperation program for scheme on establishment and operation of a supporting center for start-up and innovation in Nha Trang City.
