At Big C Nha Trang supermarket, imported fruits sell very well. Choosing oranges imported from Egypt at VND30,000/kg, Mai Huyen Trang, living in Vinh Ngoc Ward, Nha Trang, said, “Price of these oranges is reduced, so I buy 6 kilograms for family to eat on Tet. The import is cheaper than some domestic fruits.”
 
Represetative of Big C Nha Trang said that the supermarket is selling a lot of imported fruits like Egyptian oranges, French apples, American apples, Fuji apples, Korean pears, French kiwis, South African grapes, etc. To prepare for Tet, the supermarket has stocked 25 tons of imported fruits. These days, power purchase of imported fruits is rising highly. Averagely, Big C Nha Trang sells out 4 tons of imported fruits. The supermarket is also offering some promotions like French red apples, French green apples and American red apples at VND31.900/kg, Korean Fuji apples at VND59,900/kg, etc.

Co.opMart Nha Trang has also stocked 27 tons of imported fruits for Tet. At present, the supermarket is offering discounts from 20% to 35% on imported fruits. Therefore, purchase power of imported fruits is rising sharply.

Local fruits for Tet like mangoes, papayas, watermelons, custard apples, etc. also sell well on days near Tet.
