This year, making salt on canvas sheets has been expanded. This way needs more cost but gives cleaner, whiter salt and twofold productivity. Its selling price is about VND500/kg higher than that of salt produced on land.
Most of the salt is supplied for Khanh Hoa Salt Joint Stock Company and Hon Khoi Salt Export Company and provinces in the Highlands. Price of salt made on land is VND1,000 - VND2,000/kg, and price of salt made on canvas on sheets is VND1,500 – VND2,000/kg. Most of salt workers enjoy profits this season.
