Confronted with the situation that the global economic crisis has bad influence on textile garment industry, Khanh Hoa Garment Joint Stock Company has set up its own solutions, attaching importance to key factors to develop production.
STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS
Strategy of the company is keeping its market by improving product quality and delivery time.
Therefore, the company has invested more in production. Beside the main production system of machinery and equipment in plants in Nha Trang city, it has extended its production into Dien Phu Industrial Group in Dien Khanh District.
Especially, the company has absorbed a number of skilled workers by raising their income. A good work environment between the management and the workers also has been seen in the company.
Such activities has increased labour productivity, partly making its contracts effective and timely.
Accordingly, the company also has stable customers during the difficult time, including many long time partners, for example, Korea-based A. One Company ordering jackets for export to Europe or two US-based companies of J.C. Peney and Wall Mart ordering clothes for children. Some partners even gave capital advance for the company to invest in production.
In the first seven months, the company got a turnover of VND45 billion, including VND44.1 billion in industrial production, a 50% increase year-on-year. The export turnover was USD4.9 million, mainly to the U.S, Mexico and Europe.
INITIATIVE IN LABOUR RESOURCE
At present, Khanh Hoa Garment Joint Stock Company trains labour force for itself. The labourers study process and technology on the production line of the company to become skilled workers, said Director Vo Thanh Quang.
While many industrial businesses in the province so far this year have cut 1,530 labours in total, Khanh Hoa Garment Joint Stock Company has recruited 150 new labourers. The company now needs more 100 labourers for its production.
With above strategies, the company is expected to get a high turnover as well as profit in 2009, a year of global economic difficulties.
