While most tourist businesses in Vietnam are dealing with difficulties caused by the global economic downturn, Vinpearl Land has still worked well and made a good profit. “Just see long queues of tourists for Vinpearl Land and its full car parking every day, you will know how attractive the resort is. Up to now, Vinpearl Land is considered as the biggest amusement and tourist area in Vietnam. Beside five-star Vinpearl Resort & Spa with 500 luxurious and modern rooms, Vinpearl Land has a lot of services such as Vinpear Amusement park with interesting games, restaurant satisfying all eating and drinking demands from typical Vietnamese flavor to other Asian and European ones, Water Park with thrilling games, the biggest and most modern aquarium in Vietnam with over 200 sea creatures and the longest sea-crossing cable car system.
Vinpearl Land is always in the vanguard of diffusing the image of Vietnam and Nha Trang to attract more tourists, identifying Vinpearl Land trade mark with Nha Trang and Vietnam. Vinpearl Land is an attractive resort as well as a big trade name. In 2008, despite of the global economic slowdown, the resort saw a remarkable growth. It welcomed 732,000 guests, earning VND289,864 billion, up by VND119 billion (70%) over 2007. Its average room occupation rate was 64% and it could be full on holidays or weekends. Additionally, its amusement park and cable-car system got a total turnover of VND170.6 billion, up by VND65.1 billion (62%) over 2007. Vinpearl amusement park and cable-car system now becomes a frequent destination of tours organized by domestic and foreign travel companies.
Vinpearl Land is continue building the first six-star hotel in Vietnam at Soi Beach on Hon Tre Island and made preparations to start construction of a project of villas and golf course. In the coming time, Vinpearl Land will continue its tourism strategy towards becoming a high-class tourism group. Especially, the third phase of Vinpearl Land resort will have been completed by 2010, making it become the best sea-island tourist and entertainment area in Vietnam.
