The training Courses for Volunteers for Miss Universe Pageant 2008 is about to finish. All of the attendees, most of whom are students, are trying their best to prepare for their school exam as well as improve communication skills to fulfill their dream of being volunteers for Miss Universe Pageant 2008.
Under the official document of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee on training volunteers for Miss Universe Pageant 2008. No student of selected schools wants to miss the good opportunity. This incredible event presents an opportunity to be a major ambassador to Vietnam by working as a volunteer host, as well as an escort for the 90 beautiful young ladies from all over the world. The role will involve traveling to and from event venues on the coach with the competition entrants, spending some time with them and giving them information about Vietnam, helping with some language barriers and so on.
As planned, 100 students from Nha Trang University, 50 from Nha Trang Teachers’ Training College, 50 from Nha Trang College of Culture, Arts & Tourism took the course. Before attending the course, all of them entered a preliminary round. Successful candidates should be smart in appearance and of friendly character, with advanced English skills.
To fulfill their dream of being volunteers, all the students have to practice all day. They are provided basic information about international communication, tradition, customs, tour guide, first aid, fire explosion prevention, etc...A student from Nha Trang Teachers’ Training College said, ‘In spite of hard work, an official volunteer will have a chance to meet and mix with these special people. This will be great experience for us after graduation.”
Hopefully, with great effort, the students will become excellent volunteers for the pageant.
