Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has just given approval to Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang Joint- Venture to establish Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang International Hotel & Tourism Career Training Center, which specializes in training individuals for travel, tourism, and hospitality industry. This is the first hotel enterprise nationwide ever to establish a vocational training center.
Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang Hotel is experienced in training the labor force for tourism sector. Since 2004, every year, the hotel in cooperation with the Khanh Hoa Tourism & Trade Promotion Center opens international hotel career training courses for receptionists, waiters (waitresses), cooks, etc... Over the past 4 years, more than 500 people have been trained. Mr. Dong Luong Son, General Director of Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang Hotel said, “The trained labor force will be added to the tourism sector of Khanh Hoa Province and the working staff in our own hotel.”
The vocational training center aims at offering vocational training for local residents in Khanh Hoa and the neighboring provinces of Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Dac Lac, Ninh Thuan and so on; providing skilled labor force for hotels and restaurants to meet the increasing demand of tourism; creating more jobs for the youth, etc...The center is well equipped with experienced teaching staff and a good study condition of a 4-star international standard hotel. The center provides high quality training programs and exceptional student support services. The theory classroom includes a large hall with a capacity of 500 people, 2 small halls and 4 rooms. The practice classroom includes 1 restaurant, 6 bedrooms, 2 computer rooms, reception bars and 4 kitchens in European, Asian, and Vietnamese designs). Learners will have a chance to pay a visit to and practice at 4-5 star hotels in the hotel system of Saigon Tourist Company. The center plans to open four 3-month courses every year on hotel management, tour guide, reception, etc.
