After a time of test running since February 14, Vinpearl cable car system, linking Nha Trang beach city to Vinpearl Land resort, now is ready for operation. This sea-crossing cable car system is expected to open for public use on March 10, 2007.
Having the record length of 3,320m with 65 cabins and 8 seats in each, the cable car system is capable of carrying 1,500 passengers per hour, making every trip in 9 minutes and operating even in force 7 wind. A trip by cable car costs 50,000 VND for an adult 40,000 VND for a child less than 1m long.
