Less than 30 km from Nha Trang City, Ba Ho (Ninh Hoa District) is a well-known tourist attraction for its remaining romantic and virgin natural beauty of the lakes, brooks, forests and mountains. With the length of 3 km; Ba Ho can “exhaust” many tourists because in order to discover all the three lakes, they have to experience a challenging trip. After following a path up to the first lake, tourists can feel like... out of breath. So as to reach the second lake, tourists have to keep to rocky slopes and caves, some of which are just large enough for only one person to go through. Having reached the third lake, tourists are considered real Tarzans as they have “experienced” all kinds of feelings of climbing mountains, crossing brooks, keeping close to tracks... According to the local residents, it sometimes takes a day to finish the whole trip. The primeval area is covered by a forest with large canopies in forms of marbles protecting the three lakes. Tourists can relax in the shade beneath the large flat rocks after their climbing and soaking themselves in the crystal clear water while enjoying the forest melody, the chatter of birds in harmony with the murmur of the nearby waterfalls.
Ba Ho is an eco-tourism resort full of potentials. Early this year, Ba Ho was handed over to Thanh Cong Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City). The company is speeding up procedures for building Ba Ho to become a wonderful eco-tourism resort with all entertainment facilities and service. Besides, river activities will be put into operation so that tourists can find something new and strange. A dinning area and a guest-house will be built and tours of climbing mountains and discovering the wonder of the nature will be organized. Moreover, a damp can be made to create electricity for the resort and the front and back brooks will be reconstructed adding to the mystery and beauty of the caves without destroying its deserted characteristics. Thanh Cong Co. has arranged tourist guides in Ba Ho to ensure the order and security in the surrounding area. The Ba Ho Resort is inspected to have completed by the end of 2005. It is really an ideal tourist destination as it is located on a favourable traffic route near other scenic attractions such as Dai Lanh, Doc Let and Ninh Thuy.
