Many films of director Le Bao Trung were staged in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. “Every time we made films in Nha Trang, we always received enthusiastic support from local authorities and people. The organization of the Golden Kite Awards 2021 will help to create connections to make good films, which will help to promote the images of the city and its people,” said the director.

Actress Nhat Kim Anh expressed her regret for not filming music videos or films in Nha Trang although she has visited the city many times. She hopes that in the future, she can act in a film about the scenic spots of Vietnam, including Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa. As for actress Ngoc Lan, during the time filming in Nha Trang in 2010, she was really impressed with the well-controlled security and order in the city.
Actress Truong Quynh Anh was born and spent her childhood in Nha Trang. Therefore, every time she returns to Nha Trang, she always overflows with special emotions. She is happy with the fact that the Golden Kite Awards 2021 is held in Nha Trang. “I am very proud and eagerly waiting for the event to take place. Especially, I am very excited about the information that the artists participating in the Golden Kite Awards 2021 will go to Mui Doi (Van Ninh District), the easternmost point on the mainland of the country and perform the flag-raising ceremony there,” said Truong Quynh Anh.

This is the first time the Golden Kite Awards hasn’t been organized in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Nha Trang is chosen as the venue for the 2021 edition of the awards thanks to its dynamic economic development in the south central region, beautiful natural landscapes and unique culture. The organization of the Golden Kite Awards 2021 is expected to promote the tourism of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa in the time to come.
As said by director Do Thanh Hai, deputy general director of Vietnam Television, many cities with beautiful landscapes and rich culture often host prestigious cinema awards to create brand associated with the cities. For example, Cannes is famous with Cannes Film Festival; Venice is known for Venice International Film Festival; Shanghai is the venue of Shanghai International Film Festival; Busan hosts Busan International Film Festival; and so on. Therefore, it is necessary for Vietnam Cinema Association to select a new venue for the Golden Kite Awards. From the 2021 edition of the awards, Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa can be associated with this prestigious cinema award of Vietnam. It is important that the first Golden Kite Awards in Nha Trang is well organized with good entries and judgments.
Actress and film producer Mai Thu Huyen said that it is very necessary to combine film industry with tourism promotion activities. An annual award of Vietnam Cinema Association will become more meaningful when it contributes to the promotion of the beauty of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa. The appearance of the artists will help to attract intention of the public to Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa.
With the affection of the artists for Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa, hopefully, the province in general and the city in particular will be a favorite place of many film crews to come and film quality works.
