The entries of this year’s painting awards had good artistic quality, visible themes, harmonious layouts, vibrant colors, which presented the innocence of children and their imagination and creativity, according to painter Le Van Duy, a member of the jury. The painting materials of the entries were also quite diverse. Besides the themes of love for the fatherland, nation, Uncle Ho, family, teachers and friends; life activities; study; environmental protection; traffic safety, etc., many children drew paintings on the theme of Covid-19 prevention and control. This year, it was remarkable that adults made less intervention in the children’s paintings.

Khanh Hoa’s Painting Award for Children 2022 was held while the province’s education sector was flexibly adapting to the situations of Covid-19, which affected the preparations for the wards of localities and schools. The schools encouraged their pupils to actively participate in the contest and submit the entries on time.

Many of the entries of Khanh Hoa’s Painting Awards for Children 2022 reflected the observation and interest of the children in things around them. This year’s painting awards provided another occasion for the province to build and promote painting movement in schools as well as to educate children about aesthetic values.
