Products created during COVID-19 outbreak
 
Truong Son Craft Village recently held an event to introduce the products created during COVID-19 outbreak. The products bearing cultural and humanistic values have been created by skillful and creative artisans and craftsmen. Through the products, Truong Son Craft Village want to convey a message that, in any difficult situation, people can make good things for life.

The products introduced at the event included the first acoustic guitar made of teak wood and afzelia xylocarpa; 54 wind chimes representing the characteristics of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam; ChingKram musical instrument originating in the central highlands, successfully crafted for the first time in Khanh Hoa. The artisans used metal pipes to replace the traditional bamboo ones to produce better sounds and make sound quality remain stable and not change by weather, temperature and humidity. The artisans are making a set of 12 large-sized sand paintings of zodiac animals. The paintings of tiger and cat have been completed; the rest are expected to be done by Lunar New Year 2023. The statue of Tu Hau - a historical figure of Ninh Hoa Town – was among the products introduced at the event. This is the first statue of the ceramic statues honoring the notables of Khanh Hoa Province. 
 
Also at the event, painter Le Vu produced two portrait paintings of General Vo Nguyen Giap and Tu Hau. The painter will paint 98 more portrait paintings in the time to come. A 15-pieces-of-stone lithophone, which looks more like ancient lithophone, was introduced at the event by musician Nguyen Phuong Dong. Besides, Truong Son Craft Village introduced handicrafts and souvenirs modeled on the products that have set national records. 
 
Preserving traditional values
 
Truong Son Craft Village covering an area of nearly two hectares is a multi-purpose cultural tourist destination, a place to preserve and practice traditional crafts, and preserve folk cultural features. The traditional crafts which have been being practiced at the craft village include weaving rattan products, making sedge mats, palm-leaf conical hats, and curtains made of seashells. Besides, the artisans and craftsmen of the craft village make folk toys, for example “to he”, in order to interest different types of visitors. Truong Son Craft Village stands out with a garden of art statues, flowers and ornamental plants of different types, shapes and colors. Especially, Truong Son Craft Village often cooperates with sand painting artisan Tran Thi Thu, painter Le Vu, sculptor Doan Xuan Hung, musician Nguyen Phuong Dong, painter Phan Hai Bang, and artist Pham. Thi Thanh Tra to create art works and perform music performances.
 
Truong Son Craft Village creates a cultural space of great significance to the artisans, artists and craftsmen. They feel the appreciation and respect for their talents and jobs; therefore, they are happy and have more motivation to create unique art works. “I will do my best to produce 100 large-size portrait paintings of famous people of the country and the world to help to promote and introduce the cultural and artistic values of the people of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa,” said painter Le Vu.
 
According to Nguyen Dac Tai, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Union of Associations of Science and Technology, Truong Son Craft Village should have some art works presenting legendary and historical figures, people with merits associated with the formation and development of of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
