Khanh Hoa celebrates 733rd anniversary of Bach Dang Victory

The management committee of Tran Hung Dao Historical and Cultural Monument (Nha Trang City) organized a ceremony on April 19 (lunar March 8) to mark the 733rd anniversary of Vietnam's historic victory against the Mongol invaders on Bach Dang River (1288-2021).

The management committee of Tran Hung Dao Historical and Cultural Monument (Nha Trang City) organized a ceremony on April 19 (lunar March 8) to mark the 733rd anniversary of Vietnam’s historic victory against the Mongol invaders on Bach Dang River (1288-2021). The attendees were Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaders of some provincial department and sectors; and the representatives of Naval Academy.
 
The ceremony took place with traditional rituals such as chanting rite praying for peace; procession of flower vehicles; and incense offering at Tran Hung Dao Statue at Bach Dang Park (Nha Trang City).

The attendees offered incense to show respect and gratitude to Great King Tran Quoc Tuan (Tran Hung Dao) (born in 1228) who led Vietnamese soldiers and people to beat the Mongol invaders in the 13th century.
