Located on Tre Island, Truc Lam Pagoda (Nha Trang City) has just been recognized to be the “Vietnam’s biggest pogoda on an island”. It is listed among 14 records of Vietnamese Buddhism announced by Vietnam Record Book Centre (VietBooks) on May 24.
Headed by Superior Monk Minh Thong, Truc Lam Pagoda was unveiled in September 2008. It has many constructions under traditional pagoda architecture of the north region. Especially, there is a 10m stone statute of Bodhisattva, weighing 10 ton.
