Low cost carrier AIR ASIA has just opened 2 non-stop routes from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Bangkok (Thailand) to Ho Chi Minh City to meet the rising number of Vietnamese passengers. Statistics from the Malaysian and Thai Administrations of Tourism show that more than 120,000 Vietnamese passengers visited Malaysia and 200,000 traveled to Thailand in 2007.
There have been 11 direct AIR ASIA flights a week to Ho Chi Minh City so far.
