After supervision, Ministry of Finance decided to choose Sofitel Vinpearl Resort & Spa on Tre Island, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province to organize 2 ministerial and deputy ministerial conferences on tourism and finance in the framework of high-ranking APEC conference in October 2006, said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee said at the press conference on September 23.
Sofitel Vinpearl Resort & Spa was chosen because it is a 5 star hotel and resort meeting the international standard and located on one of the 29 world’s most beautiful bays with convenient transportation (only 40km from Cam Ranh Airport).
The construction of Sofitel Vinpearl Resort & Spa was invested by Vietnamese people (Hon Tre Tourism and Trade Limited Company) from April, 2002 to December 2003 with a capital of nearly 40 million VND. It has 5-star 500 bedrooms.
Managed by Paris-based ACCOR (Sofitel), a world’s famous corporation in restaurant sector, the resort is more and more attractive to visitors, especially foreigners.
