Vietjet will operate 9 charter flights carrying Chinese tourists from China to Cam Ranh International Airport from January 11 to January 31 after nearly 3-year suspension over Covid-19 concerns, according to Le Thi Hong Minh, Director General of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company on January 8.


The first flight will depart from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, Sichuan Province, China to Cam Ranh on January 11, followed by flights from Hefei Xinqiao Airport, Anhui Province and Changsha Huanghua Airport, Hunan Province.

Vietjet and China Southern have had plans to operate commercial flights connecting large cities of China to Cam Ranh from March 26. Vietnam Airlines has also planned to resume flights from China to Cam Ranh from June 1.


The International Health Quarantine Center of Khanh Hoa Province has requested Cam Ranh International Airport and relevant agencies to enhance Covid-19 control. Upon arrival, travelers will be guided to take a separate line and required to wear face masks and undergo automatic temperature checks.Those with symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulty will be subject to temporary quarantine for Covid-19 testing.
