The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism suggested the People’s Committee of centrally-governed cities and provincies accelerate Covid-19 secure assessment at accommodation facilities nationwide on May 11. Accommodation businesses are required to publicize their QR codes for visitors to check for the safety of the facilities.

Specifically, tourist accommodation facilities must update information on the Covid-19 Safety Living Map following the Document No. 4159/BVHTTDL-TCDL dated November 9, 2020. Tourist accommodation facilities temporarily closed still need to register in the system and mark “temporary closed”.

Tourist accommodation facilities are required to announce their QR codes created on Covid-19 Safety Living Map at reception halls for tourists to check their safety levels before using services, contributing to getting tourists involved in Covid-19 prevention and control through the “Safe Vietnam” app.

Besides, the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism has also requested tourism management agencies of cities and provinces to boost inspection and supervision and ensure only accommodation facilities meeting Covid-19 safety regulations are allowed to open.
